As with other historical monuments and sites in Surat, Andrew’s Library is often not looked at with as much awe as it should be. Over 150 years old library, held a rich source of information in various areas of history, culture and arts, before over 25000 artifacts got destroyed in 2005 floods in Surat.
The place, where the great poet Narmad lived and composed some of his spectacular works, went into almost ruins, before it was restored as museum – Narmad House by Surat Municipal Corporation.
