FOOD PACKETS & RELIEF
Daily 9 lakh food packets distributed to needy and stranded. With the help of local NGOs, Akshayapatra and SMC managed kitchens, it was possible to provide relief to the stranded, needy, destitute, old, homeless and others.
Active survelliance team was deployed to trace, indentify and narrow down possible corona cases. By tracking the cases, it was possible to know how the virus has spread in the city.
Prevention is better than cure.
PENALTIES & VIOLATIONS
With no vaccination & direct treatment, social distancing, wearing mask and sanitation turned out to be the best possible fight against COVID19. Citizens violating these norms were fined heavily.
Desperate times calls for desperate measures.
Total Penalties exceed Rs 22 lakhs
To avoid any further transmission of corona virus in the city, disinfection activity was carried out heavily in all areas where positive cases were found as well as all those public places like veg-markets, ATMs, shops & others.
In the fight against corona, entire country has been under lockdown from 25th March 2020. To help the needy many donations by citizens, dignitaries, companies and organizations likewise.

Total Donations for COVID19 Fund exceed Rs 4.45 Crores
SMC used COVID-19 Tracker app to keep a check on corona positive cases. Home quarantined cases were also tracked via this app. It was enabled with location feature providing robust observation.
