National Talent Search Exam 2020, is conducted in 2 levels. First level is conducted by respective State board for students who are in 10th Std and the exam date for this year is decided to be 3rd November 2019. It is conducted on first Sunday of November every year. Once the candidates you have been selected in the first round, there applications are sent to NCERT for second round. Second round of exam is conducted at National level by NCERT. Selected canditates who are shortlisted in the exam are eligible for scholarships until PG/PhD as per their stream of education.

Eligibility for NCERT – NTSE 2020
Students who are in 10th standard in the current year of application from government schools, grant-in-aid schools, private schools and any other education bodies which are registered schools are eligible for exam. Students from open schools can also apply for this.
Age limit for examination is 18 years and below as on 1st July 2019 and should not be working and appearing for the exams as first attempt.
NCERT – National Talent Search Exam is conducted at 2 levels – State Level & National Level. Candidates who clear state level exam are eligible for national level exam.
Exam Fees for NCERT – NTSE 2020
General category students need to pay 70 Rs. Other categories like PH, OBC, SC & ST, fees is 50 Rs.

Exam is conducted in 2 languages Gujarati and English. Exam is conducted in MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) based format. There are no negative marking. Visibly challenged students will receive 30 minutes extra for each category.
Scholarship provided by NCERT – NTSE 2020
Selected candidates are provided scholarship of 1250 Rs for 11 & 12 th standard. For undergraduation and postgraduation, scholarship of 2000 Rs is provided. For non-professional courses assistance for PhD is also provided. Candidates must perform across academics every year consistently scoring above 60 % in final exams.
